KPMG Corporate Finance acted as lead M&A advisor to the Business, with separate KPMG TAS and Tax teams undertaking vendor due diligence. Campbell’s Prime Meat, located near Linlithgow, operates as an independent supplier of fresh meat, fresh fish and delicatessen products to the foodservice industry across Scotland. The Business has roots back to 1910 and has grown under generations of the Campbell’s family to being one of Scotland’s most prominent food and drink companies, employing over 300 individuals. The acquisition provides a good home for the Business and is a strategic fit for Sysco and its existing UK operations, further strengthening its Scottish proposition.
