Scottish legal firm BTO Solicitors report another year of strong performance for the year ending 31 March with continued investment in the future of the business.

The firm, with offices in Glasgow, Edinburgh and Helensburgh, recorded turnover of £23.1m, an increase of 9 per cent on the previous financial year, while profit before members’ remuneration and profit shares increased by 11.1 per cent to £7.9m. Cash generated from operations continued to strengthen and the firm substantially reduced its external borrowings during the year.

The firm currently has 49 partners, six legal directors, four consultants, 63 solicitors and 20 trainee solicitors, a total personnel of 238. 

Grant Hunter, managing partner of BTO Solicitors LLP, said: “These results represent another excellent year for the firm and reflect the quality of our people, the strength of our client relationships and the benefits of the investments we have made across the business.

 He says despite continuing economic uncertainty, the firm delivered growth in revenue, profitability and cash generation while maintaining a focus on providing an outstanding service to clients.

“We also continued to invest significantly in our people, technology and operational infrastructure, including the development of AI-enabled solutions and other strategic initiatives designed to support the long-term success of the firm.

 “Our strong financial position allows us to continue investing with confidence in the future, attracting talented individuals to the partnership and enhancing the services we provide to clients across Scotland and beyond.

 “We have entered the 2026/27 financial year with a sound balance sheet, a strong partnership and a continued focus on sustainable, profitable growth in line with our Strategic Business Plan.”

He thanked all of our colleagues and clients for their continued support and contribution to “another successful year”.
